Garry Seltzer

Since founding our firm in 1979, Garry Seltzer has built a solid reputation as a successful lawyer who has recovered millions of dollars for his clients. He strives to protect the rights of supply companies, subcontractors, general contractors, and other small businesses that are facing construction litigation situations. He focuses on construction debt collection in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.

Garry graduated with honors from Southern Illinois University and also received his law degree from the University of Georgia with honors. In 1979 he was admitted to the Georgia Bar and Missouri Bar along with the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Missouri. A few years later he gained admission to the Illinois bar and then the U.S. Supreme Court.

Giving back to the community is important to Garry. He is honored to have served his local government in these positions:

  • Councilman, City of Olivette, Missouri, 1986-1992
  • Mayor, City of Olivette, Missouri, 1988-1989

Kevin Seltzer

After graduating from law school, Kevin Seltzer joined his father in private practice in 2007 and helped create Seltzer & Seltzer, L.C. His goal is to handle each client’s case personally, with professionalism and prompt responsiveness. Although he focuses on construction lien law in Missouri and surrounding states, Kevin is also skilled in other business and litigation areas.

Kevin attended the University of Missouri and obtained his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration along with his Juris Doctor degree. During law school, Kevin was a law clerk with a small firm in Columbia, MO and interned with the Missouri Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Control.

In 2007, he was admitted to the Missouri Bar followed by admissions to the Illinois Bar in 2008, the Kansas Bar and Iowa Bar in 2013, and the Nebraska Bar in 2016 and the Oklahoma Bar in 2019.

With his broad experience in civil litigation and contract negotiations, Kevin offers legal services to small business owners, supply companies, and individuals in the following practice areas:

Throughout his years of practice, Kevin has represented construction clients in five states and adjudicated mechanic’s lien cases, bond claims, and general collection cases for a variety of residential and commercial projects. He has also successfully represented clients in business formation and contract negotiations.

During his career at Seltzer & Seltzer Kevin has helped hundreds of clients recover millions of dollars through legal expertise, persistence and charm. He represents electricians, roofers, plumbers, excavators, material suppliers and almost any other player in the construction business.

Timothy Milford

Timothy graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Benedictine College and received his Master’s degree from Webster University. He later attended law school at St. Louis University and obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1999. He is a member of the Missouri Bar.

To best serve his professional business clients, Timothy focuses his legal practice in the following areas:

  • Commercial Transactions
  • Closely Held Businesses

Utilizing his strong general business practice background and broad construction experience, Timothy has represented major plumbing and mechanical contractors in mechanic’s lien cases, bond claims, and collection actions. He also helps clients with business formation and contract negotiations.

Timothy has served on various civic and charitable boards, commissions, and task forces in St. Louis and the surrounding areas including acting as Past President for the South Side St. Louis Lion’s Club.

Diane Gray

Diane received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Illinois, College of Pharmacy, and later received her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the Saint Louis University School of Law. After gaining valuable experience working as a medical intern and in private practice, she joined the team at Seltzer & Seltzer, L.C. in 2001.

With her unique educational background and prior experience, Diane focuses her legal practice in the following areas:
